How Papermaking Wastewater Is Generated
Papermaking wastewater is mainly produced in three key production links, with complex components and high treatment difficulty:
Pulping Process Wastewater: Including cooking black liquor, washing wastewater, screening wastewater, and bleaching wastewater. It contains a large number of lignin, cellulose, alkaline substances, and chemical additives, with ultra-high COD, deep color, and strong corrosiveness, which is the most difficult part to treat.
Papermaking White Water: Generated in the paper forming, pressing, and drying processes, containing a lot of fine fibers, fillers, and rubber materials. Although the organic concentration is low, the suspended solids are high, and direct discharge will cause fiber loss and water eutrophication.
